Planning a trip to The Booch Bar? We’ve rounded up the questions we hear most — dietary options, what’s on tap, where to park, and the little details that make your visit easy.

Is The Booch Bar vegan-friendly?

Yes — we offer extensive vegan, vegetarian, paleo and gluten-free options. House-made cashew cheeses, plant-based proteins, and more. Everyone's welcome at the table.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes. Gluten-free bread is available on request, and many of our dishes are naturally gluten-free. We're known around Hilo for taking dietary needs seriously.

Do you use seed oils in cooking?

No — we cook only with olive, coconut, and avocado oils, never seed oils, for everything made in house.

What meat options do you have?

House-smoked turkey, brisket, pork, and bacon — plus the island's best Big Island free-range, grass-fed beef burger.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes — breakfast is served 8:00–11:00 am daily, and lunch & dinner from 11:00 am 'til close.

Do you make your own kombucha and beer?

We do. We brew our own Big Island Booch kombucha and Jun, plus our own craft beer — all poured fresh on tap.

What beverages do you make in-house?

Lots: our own Big Island Booch kombucha (non-alcoholic and hard), Jun, craft beer, cold brew, and coffee — all made right here.

Do you take reservations?

No reservations needed — we're walk-in and order at the counter. For takeout, just call ahead for pickup at (808) 498-4779.

Is there parking?

Yes — free street parking along Keawe Street and nearby public lots throughout downtown Hilo.

Where are you located?

110 Keawe Street, in the historic Pacific Building (built 1922) in the heart of downtown Hilo.

What are your hours?

Monday – Saturday 8 am–9 pm, Sunday 8 am–3 pm. Happy Hour is weekdays 3–5 pm.

Is there live music, and can I host an event?

Yes — we host live music and community events in the Rainbow Room. You can apply to perform or host on our Get Involved page.

Do you offer takeout?

Yes — call (808) 498-4779 for pickup.

What is there to do in downtown Hilo?

Plenty, all on foot. From The Booch Bar (110 Keawe St) you can walk to the Pacific Tsunami Museum, Mokupāpapa Discovery Center, the Hilo Farmers Market, the historic 1925 Palace Theater, the Lyman Museum, and Liliʻuokalani Gardens & Moku Ola (Coconut Island).
